Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering (1994), an M.C.E. degree in water resource engineering (1987) from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA, and a B.S. degree in environmental engineering (1982) from National Chung Hsing University of Taiwan. He is a licensed professional environmental engineer of the State of Georgia, USA and has over 16 years of environmental working experience. Before moving to Singapore in late 1996, Dr. Wang spent 5 years (1992 to 1996) as a consulting engineer in providing technical support to the US EPA, DOD, DOE, and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in numerous environmental projects. Dr. Wang’s expertise and research interest include solid waste resource management, contaminated site assessment and remediation, and environmental management. In addition to his current teaching and research involvement in the university, Dr. Wang is also looking into sustainable solutions to help address environmental issues in the economically developing countries.
