Querying the Database
The Find push button in the edit window facilitate the user to select a portion of the dataset and the selected records could be edited, printed, or exported to a file. When the user press the Find button the following Search window will be displayed on the Edit window.
Do the following steps to select all records for India, for example
- Select the Field name "COUNTRY" from the Fields list box
- Select "equals" from the Operator list box
- Enter the country name (India) in the Value edit box.
- Press the search button to select the required records.
Do the following steps to select the records for the years 1990 to 1995
- Select the Field name "YEAR" from the Fields list box
- Select "between" from the Operator list box
- Enter the years (1990,1995) in the Value edit box.
- Press the search button to select the required records
