1. IMPLEMENTATION
Implementation of the action mentioned in the Section 4 above is the responsibility of each line agencies listed against each action. Presently the overall coordination is with the CA2AP Implementation Committee. Progress is reported at the committee meeting that is held bi-monthly. Suggested action plan is as follows.

Action Plan:

  1. Institutional setup: institutional set-up for implementation of the action plan is as shown in the diagram 3.
  2. Capacity Building: Capacity building is important in achieving the objectives set forth in the action plan. Training and technical assistance is needed in the areas of modelling, impact assessment, enforcement and policy making. It is suggested that a regional forum is established so that the institutions could participate and learn, exchange information and expertise.
