The Programme Support Component provides support to the programmes implemented by RRC. The Component consists of the following services: Capacity Building; Data Management; and Admin and Finance.

Capacity Building: The major functions under this sub-component are:
• Assessment Network - coordination of the RRC Advisory Committee; Collaborative Assessment Network (CAN); and the UNEP Youth Programme.
• Capacity Building - implementation of the NSDS programme; and arrangements for student internships and attachment programme; and
• Decision support – dissemination of programme results and findings thru repackaged outputs, newsletters and briefs.

Data Management: The major functions to be carried out include:
• System/Network Support – maintenance and upgrading of the RRC Systems facility including staff computer units;
• IT Decision Support – provision of IT trainings and Homepage support to RRC and its partners; assistance with data requests; and publication of RRC newsletter; and
• Environment Knowledge Hub (e-KH) – development of the e-KH in collaboration with Partners; implementation of the GEO data portal as an integral part of e-KH; and update of GIS metadata and country profiles.

Admin & Finance: This sub-component will continue to provide logistical and financial coordination for the programmes implemented in the Centre.
